The Comp 8.3 Air Wireless

If you previously thought that wireless music transmission from your smartphone was not enough for audiophile sound, we would like to convince you of the opposite!
Air doesn't just mean wireless, Air means a completely new approach to the topic of HiFi / HighEnd.

This unique concept reduces the requirements for HiFi hardware to a minimum - all you need are the speakers!
No playback devices, amplifiers or power amplifiers are necessary anymore.
Music is fed into the system wirelessly via WiFi (UPnP/DLNA, AirPlay 2, Spotify Connect, TIDAL, QOBUZ...) from your streaming service, computer, tablet, smarphone or cloud. Or via Bluetooth aptX-HD - e.g. from your smart TV.

The coaxial and optical digital input (both up to 24Bit/192k) on the master speaker allow access for additional digital players. The music signal is then passed on from the master to the servant via a loss-free, interference-free radio link. Or - if you want to stream HiRes - we recommend CableLink. The connection from Master to Servant via a supplied coax cable. So that the data can be transmitted to the servant in native resolution, without interference and without delay.

The processing of the music signals is completely digital - up to the digital power amplifier, which then feeds the music signal into the full-range driver and woofer. All without passive components or switching between digital and analog domains with maximum resolution and without losses. The volume control is also digital, with a calculation accuracy of 48 bits. A resolution that dispels any doubts about digital volume control.

This is made possible by the specially developed  amplifier module. It drives the 4" fullrange driver with whistler-cone and the  22cm woofer built into the base, each with a separate power amplifier.
The integrated DSP takes over the work of your classic crossover and also enables the speaker to be adapted to your listening room and your personal listening habits.

In the current version 3, it sets another milestone:
The power supply has now been integrated directly into the amplifier module. A linear PSU with 225VA toroidal transformer replaces the external switching power supply of the .2 line.
The audible result: even more space and fine dynamics as well as pressure, punch and precision in the bass reproduction. The new module now also offers the flexibility in terms of upgrades that is already known from the smaller AUDIUM models: all the electronics are located on the module and can be easily exchanged for another module, terminal or the passive crossover. Thus, nothing stands in the way of changes to passive, active or air and your AUDIUMs can grow with your requirements.
