The  Comp 5X is our classic in the Comp speaker series. With this speaker, the AUDIUM heart started beating!
The first impression - the elegant, slim look - will continue after the  first few minutes (or hours!) Of listening.
The completely newly developed concept - technologically as well as optically  - is truly unique!

In the X-version of the Comp 5 we made a lot of updates and modifications to the well established predecessors.The newly constructed baffle optimizes sonic refractions resulting in an even more flat frequency response you would never expect from a single fullrange driver. Further more, we vibration-decoupled the baffle from the cabinet  and optimised the bottom plate against resonances.This results in an even more vivid, threedimensional and stable reproduction of all music-material. Further more, this modifications give the speakers a slimmer and more straightforward apearence. This takes them more out of the acoustical stage and makes them less dominant in your living / listening room.
Also the finished / veneers have been updated. Step by Step we will introduce Black and White Silk-matte and walnut / oak. High Gloss black and white and Mocca will remain available also.

With our pdated fullrange driver, we implement the ideal of a  sound source - a point sound source. To support the lowest frequencies, the  oval 6x9 inch woofer is integrated in the housing with curved side walls.  This enables us to achieve the graceful look of the Comp5 while maintaining a  truly convincing bass reproduction.

The crossover is located on the terminal on the back of the loudspeaker.  Bi-wiring and bi-amping is possible due to the separate connections for  full-range driver and woofer.
Upgrades to Active or Air can be carried out at your home without an  expert simply by exchanging the terminal for the corresponding active  module.
